All solid wood construction, Genuine Mahogany(#76), Cherry)#78), or Walnut(#71) sides and back, spruce or cedar top, carved scroll shaped head, Corian nut and saddle. Fingerboard has nickel-silver frets and four deluxe chrome geared tuners. 25.88″ Scale, 32″ length, 2.63″ deep, 7.5″ wide.

This dulcimer is also available in a Deluxe version. In addition to the above specs, the Deluxe includes a two piece book matched back with a contrasting wood inlay down the center, and a rosewood fingerboard cap with real Mother-of-pearl position dots.

The shape and the woods of each Model Dulcimer (i.e. Spruce with Mahogany or Walnut, Cedar with Cherry) are combinations that I like, however you can request whatever combo you want. SOUND BOARD WOOD (Top Wood)

Softwoods like Spruce and Cedar are the traditional soundboard (top) woods. However many old time dulcimer builders used the same wood for the top as for the sides and back, another option for you.
